Better Deal for Coir Workers
The LDF Government proved its commitment to 5.86 lakh coir workers out of which 80 percent are women. In order to ensure welfare of the laboures in this sector budgetary support of Rs. 47.97 crore was given for various plan schemes in coir sector in 2007-08.

Events

As part of Saharakarana Navaratnam Keraleeyam project an intensive campaign for deposit mobilisation titled ‘Sahakarana Nikshepam Keraleeyam’ will commence from November 1. Maximum deposits will be attracted with adherence to social commitment and offering fair interest to customers. It is aimed to mop up Rs. 50000 crore as deposit in the cooperative banks of the State during the year as on 2011.
